We tried making cutout cookies for Santa today. I wanted to make them a bit healthier, of course, so I found a recipe for peanut butter cutout cookies and used gluten free flour instead of regular flour. I also found some natural food dyes to try with the royal icing.
Not only do they look fantastic, they also taste delicious! In fact, they tasted so good, I couldn't wait and just had to share them with the deer in our backyard. Lucky deer. At least they are organic! Looks like Santa is going to have to get store bought this year.
